Competition success by the kj2 ju jitsu team.
As a team we have been working hard at developing and expanding our ju jitsu skills in competition. We have recently entered two tournaments and brought home plenty of medals.
The first was the UK Premier BJJ Championships, one of the biggest and best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments in the UK. Our team won the following:
Callum Edwards – SILVER.
Nathan Moore-Pointing – BRONZE.
Rory Edwards – BRONZE.
Josh Evans – BRONZE.
Martyn Lawson – GOLD.
For most of the above it was their first BJJ competition.
Second was the Grapple challenge held in Nailsea near Bristol. This was our first no gi submission grappling competition and we had some brilliant results with
Matt Bloska getting GOLD plus BRONZE in the open,
Rob Bloska SILVER,
Ben Bloska SILVER
Edd Mathews GOLD.
As a team we have been trying to diversify and broaden our skill set and all of the team have worked tremendously hard. Now we are starting to bring home some medals from some very tough competitions.
A special mention and best of luck to Edd and Ryan who will be competing in a mixed martial arts match in June. Edd has already had one mma win and is hoping for a second win and this is Ryan’s first. Best of luck to both of you.
