HOW TO GET A CRIMINAL RECORDS BUREAU (CRB) CHECK
People wishing to work with children and vunerable adults will need a CRB check. The best way to obtain a CRB check is to find a Registered Body (known as an Umbrella Body) that will undertake checks for others.
To find an Umbrella Body in your area:
- click here to go to the search area on the Government website.
- Under the Search by Sector section (about half way down) check the box next to Sports/Community.
- You can refine your search further by selecting other criteria such as County.
- Click the Search button at the bottom of the page
